Kimmy Cantrell faces

Here are some of the finished Cantrell Clay Faces!  Students even constructed their own stands using popsicle sticks and glue guns.  They did a fantastic job and I love the great titles! Click Here to see the beginning process of how we did it!

Winter penguins

2nd Graders painted penguins and then used collage techniques to make their winter gear!  This was a really fun drawing project that led us to learn more about penguins!

Collage landscapes

4th Graders are focusing on Landscapes.  Each 4th Grade class is creating a landscape with a different technique.  However, everyone needs to make sure they are including all of the parts of a landscape!

Mrs. Robinson's 4th Grade Class learned about Grant Wood & David Hockney.  We looked at the rolling hills and their farm land.  They rotated around the room and used different painting techniques to create a variety of painted paper.  Students then went to work creating their landscapes.  Students were encouraged to put larger objects in the front and smaller objects further away to show distance and depth.  Here are just a few of their beautiful collage landscapes!

Winter landscapes

Kindergarten and 1st Grade created a variety of Winter Landscapes this year!  Each landscape was inspired by a book that we read in class.

Below, 1st Graders made a picture inspired by the Book Snow Bear.  We focused on a horizon line and Texture!  The little bear is create out of tissue paper and the mama snow bear is created out of a shaving cream glue mixture- Boy did the students have fun using that!

Winter carolers

Second Graders made multi media 3-D Carolers to help decorate for the Winter Concert.  These students used collage techniques to build their Carolers using paper, yarn, pom poms & oil pastels.
